PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biopsy system for guiding a probe and/or other components to a desired biopsy region.SOLUTION: The biopsy system 10 comprises a control module 12, a localization assembly 15, a biopsy device 14, and a targeting cube 104. The biopsy device 14 includes a holster portion 32 and the probe 91. The probe 91 and/or other associated components are configured to selectively couple with the targeting cube 104 that is configured to selectively couple with a grid plate 96 having apertures for receiving the targeting cube 104. The targeting cube 104 further includes guide holes that originate and terminate at the faces and pass through the body of the targeting cube 104 to provide passages through the targeting cube 104. The intersections of the faces of the targeting cube 104 include edges constituted of an elastomeric material.
