PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optometer that informs an examiner when a misalignment occurs and causes him or her to perform an accurate subjective examination.SOLUTION: An optometer includes an observation system 12 for observing an anterior eye part of an eye E to be examined, a subjective type measurement system 15 for presenting a subjective type visual target chart to the eye E to be examined, and alignment detection means for detecting an alignment of the subjective type measurement system 15 with respect to the eye E to be examined. When the subjective type visual target chart is presented to the eye E to be examined from the subjective type measurement system 15, an alignment is detected by the alignment detection means.
