A configurable hydroponic cultivation unit and system. The configurablehydroponiccultivation unit can include a tank. The tank comprises at least oneseparation bar and at leastone removable dam member. The at least one separation bar is disposed on abottom side ofthe tank and is configured to separate the tank into a plurality of troughregions. The at leastone removable dam member is configured to be removably mounted in the tank totherebyblock the culture solution from flowing therethrough. The at least oneseparation bar and theat least one removable dam member are configured to allow a configurablepassageway forthe culture solution flowing in the tank. Due to its modular features, theconfigurablehydroponic cultivation unit can be stacked one another to form a multi-levelhydroponiccultivation system, which achieves a vertical recycling of the culturesolution.
