It refers to a method for the inflation of an anti-bedsore mattress (22) to support a patient, said method permitting to switch off the compressor (12) comprised in the anti-bedsore apparatus, even keeping the whole anti-bedsore apparatus running. A first and a second cell are brought to a common pressure P1, then the second cell is further inflated to pressure P2. After an interval the pressure is equalized to P3 and the first cell is then further inflated to P4. After a second interval the pressure in the cells is again equalized.
