A near-infrared fluorescent imaging agent comprising an indocyanine-based fluorescent dye and a liposome is disclosed. Since the near-infrared fluorescent imaging agent of the present invention has high fluorescence intensity and a long anchoring time in the sentinel lymph node, it is useful for detection of a sentinel lymph node in sentinel lymph node navigation surgery.
