To provide a mating disruption agent for sucking pests which are major pests in rice cultivation.The inventors of the present invention discovered that the application of flonicamid to sucking pests in rice cultivation disrupted pest mating activity, demonstrating a stable and long-term controlling effect. This completely unexpected effect of disrupting pest mating represents a clear departure from the use of flonicamid as a simple pesticide. The present invention relates to a mating disruption agent for rice-feeding sucking pests which contains flonicamid as an active ingredient, and to a method of disrupting mating of such pests by treating with this mating disruption agent.本發明提供在稻作領域中被認為主要蟲害的一種吸汁害蟲之交尾動作干擾劑。本案發明人發現藉由將氟尼胺應用在稻作領域之吸汁害蟲，而達成干擾害蟲之交尾動作，持續長期間安定的高防治效果。本見識係與氟尼胺作為單純之殺有害生物劑的使用劃清界線而干擾害蟲之交尾動作的完全未被預期之效果。本發明係有關含有作為有效成分之氟尼胺的稻寄生吸汁害蟲之交尾動作干擾劑及處理該交尾動作干擾劑而干擾該害蟲之交尾動作的方法等。
