PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure reliability of calculated calories which are burned when pulse information is not detected by a pulse information detecting part.SOLUTION: The biological information processing apparatus is equipped with a pulse wave sensor 30 for detecting the pulse information of a user and an MPU308 for calculating calories burned of the user from pulse wave signals detected by the pulse wave sensor 30. When the pulse wave signals are not detected by the pulse wave sensor 30 during the calculation of the calories which are burned by the MPU308, the MPU308 calculates the calories burned for a prescribed period of time from the pulse wave signals detected before the pulse wave signals are not detected.
