PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in measuring a pulse or pulse wave.SOLUTION: From a first band signal which includes the component of a first frequency band of a first measurement signal acquired by applying light of a prescribed frequency onto an area that includes the pulse, a bodily movement signal extraction unit extracts a bodily movement signal that comprises a component generated by bodily motion. A calculation unit generates a pulse wave signal, which is the difference signal between the bodily movement signal and a second band signal which includes the component of a second frequency band of the first measurement signal.
