A method is disclosed that includes generating a model of an anatomical region and receiving a vital image from an endoscopic image acquisition probe positioned within an anatomical region. The method also includes identifying a vital reference region within the real image and identifying a plurality of virtual organizational structures within the model of the anatomical region.
