The present invention is generally directed to a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament and to a housing for such a device. The housing comprises an outer housing (10) with a distal end and a cartridge holder (20) with a proximal end, which, when the cartridge holder (20) is attached to the outer housing (10), is inserted into the distal end of the outer housing (10). The outer housing (10) is provided with a first fixture (14) for axially constraining a further component part (60) to the outer housing (10). When the cartridge holder (20) is attached to the outer housing (10), the proximal end of the cartridge holder (20) axially extends to the first fixture (14).La présente invention concerne dune manière générale un dispositif dadministration de médicament permettant de sélectionner et de distribuer un certain nombre de doses, variables selon lutilisateur, dun médicament, et un logement pour un tel dispositif. Le logement externe (10) est pourvu dun premier dispositif de fixation (14) permettant de contraindre axialement une autre partie (60) de composant dans le logement externe (10). Lorsque le support (20) de cartouche est fixé au logement externe (10), lextrémité proximale du support (20) de cartouche sétend axialement vers le premier dispositif de fixation (14).
