PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that enhances the stability of cyclobenzaprine HCl (with or without the presence of a basifying agent) and a method for producing such a composition. The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a eutectic of cyclobenzaprine HCl and mannitol and a method for producing said pharmaceutical composition. A compound useful in an embodiment of the invention is cyclobenzaprine HCl. In some embodiments, the compound is micronized. In an alternative embodiment, the compound is not micronized. In some embodiments, the compound may exist in one or more crystalline isoforms.
