The present invention provides a visual line detection device and method for the same. The device comprises a headset, a brainwave detection unit that disposed on the headset for detecting the focal length of the eye, a electromyography detection unit that disposed on the headset for detecting the rotating angle of the eye, a computing unit that communicatively connects to the electromyography detection unit and the brainwave detection unit for integrating the detection results of the brainwave detection unit and the electromyography detection unit, so as to calculate the position of the visual line of the eye. By the configuration of the above-mentioned device, the movement range of the eye is calculated according to the brainwave information and the electromyographic signals and compared with the position before action, and the position of the visual line of the eye is calculated therefrom.
