PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for endoscopes allowing an operator to accurately and easily attach a light source lamp irrespective of the presence of a projection formed on a flange of the light source lamp.
SOLUTION: This light source device for endoscopes is provided with a lamp socket to which the light source lamp is detachably attached, and a lamp support means for supporting the light source lamp, wherein the lamp support means has an attachment part for attaching the light source lamp, and a lamp holder for guiding and holding the light source lamp and the lamp socket. The attachment part is provided with a notch part at a predetermined position, and the light source lamp and the lamp socket are guided by the lamp holder, so that the predetermined position of the light source lamp is located at the notch part.
