PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion assisting apparatus for lower limb which can be easily worn by a user, improves the degree of freedom of the user, and can support the user stably upon bending and stretching work with the head bent forward.SOLUTION: The motion assisting apparatus 1 for lower limb includes: a body mount portion 10 which is worn on a body trunk of the user P a leg link portion 20 provided along the upper and lower thigh of the user, connected to the body mount portion to be in an unconstrained state of the upper and lower thigh of the user, and having a knee joint portion composed to be bendable and stretchable corresponding to the bending and stretching by a knee joint of the user a leg placing portion 50 having an ankle joint portion connected with the leg link portion 20, on which users foot is placed and fixed an actuator unit 61 for driving a knee joint applying rotary torque to the knee joint portion and an actuator unit 62 for driving an ankle joint portion applying rotary torque to the ankle joint portion. The body mount portion 10 fixes and supports the body trunk of the user P before and after the bending and stretching of the knee joint of the user P.
