An image recognition and method thereof can be applied to fetal ultrasound images. The image recognition and measurement method include: (a) by means of a filter operator adjusting the image to decrease noises and to homogenize the image expression levels of pixels within individual object structures (b) by means of a statistic information function analyzing the image, searching for the optimal state to obtain the maximum entropy value using the statistic information function and determining the foreground objects’ pixel units and the background pixel units, according to the optimal state of the statistic information function and (c) by means of a profile set value searching among the foreground objects’ pixel units and identifying a target object. The image recognition method of the present invention can not only increase the efficiency of identifying the object of interests within the image and measuring the object of interests but also improve the precision of measurements of the object of interests.本發明提供一種影像辨識方法及影像辨識系統,尤其是一種影像自動辨識、分析、量測方法與系統,可應用於胎兒超音波影像,影像辨識方法包含下列步驟:(a)以濾波運算子調整影像以減少雜訊並均勻化(同質化)相同物件結構之像素表現;(b)藉由統計色階分佈資訊函數分析影像並根據統計色階分佈資訊函數之最大資訊亂度狀態將數個像素單元分類為疑似前景像素單元與背景像素單元;以及(c)於疑似前景像素單元中以形狀輪廓設定值搜尋並辨識一目標結構影像。本發明之影像辨識方法可提升辨識目標物之組織、構造、結構影像及量測影像之效率與準確度。步驟S100~步驟S900
