A method adapted to diagnose airway obstruction in a subject is disclosed. Plural cross-sectional ultrasound images of a region of the respiratory tract are obtained during the subjects normal breathing, wherein each pixel in the ultrasound image has a color scale value. A user selects a region of interest (ROI) in each ultrasound image, and a first statistic value of the pixels therein is calculated as a sum of a measure of location of the color scale values plus a constant multiplied by a measure of dispersion. In each ROI the pixels having color scale values larger than or equal to the respective first statistic value are identified to define a respective airspace region, and a respective width of the respiratory tract is calculated. The status about an airway obstruction in the subject can be classified according to a second statistic value obtained by the subject being asked to breathe in a specific manner.本創作提供一種呼吸道寬度的測定系統,包含一超音波影像擷取裝置、一測定裝置。超音波影像擷取裝置用以收集一呼吸道區間的超音波影像,且具有複數像素點。測定裝置耦接超音波影像擷取裝置,包含一輸入模組、一分類模組、一輸出模組。輸入模組接收超音波影像,輸入包含一興趣區域的圈選指令,計算興趣區域中像素點的色階值,取得一第一統計數值。分類模組彙整興趣區域中像素點的色階值大於或等於第一統計數值者定義為一空氣區域,並計算空氣區域中像素點的色階值,取得一呼吸道寬度值。輸出模組輸出呼吸道寬度值。310‧‧‧超音波影像擷取裝置320‧‧‧測定裝置321‧‧‧輸入模組322‧‧‧分類模組323‧‧‧輸出模組
