A minimally invasive skin treatment system for aspirating a dissection area isprovided.The system includes a handpiece having a recessed area disposed on a bottomportion of thehandpiece and a conduit extending through a side of the handpiece and into therecessed area, therecessed area defining a dissection area. The system also includes a cannulaconfigured to havenegative pressure applied to an interior of the cannula and a tool configuredto at least partiallyextend through the conduit and into the recessed area. The tool is partiallyhoused within theinterior of the cannula. The tool comprises a cutting blade and a blade shaft,the blade shaftcomprising a hollow interior. The hollow interior of the blade shaft is influid connection withinterior of the cannula. The application of negative pressure to the interiorof the cannula allowsaspiration from the dissection area. The movement of the portion of the toolwithin the recessedarea is in response to movement of the portion of the tool outside therecessed area, and themovement of the portion of the tool within the recessed area comprises bothlateral and lateralmovement within the recessed area.
