A method for manufacturing femoral stump plaster model relates to medicine, in particular to prosthetics and prosthesis making, and can be used in hip prosthesis manufacturing. The method involves stump sizing, marking places requiring load relief, application of wetted plaster bandages, negative mold modeling, pouring negative mold with plaster and correction of obtained model, wherein at front bandage zone a flat surface is formed, which is gradually transformed to round shape in distal direction. The inclination of front wall to the stump long axis in sagittal plane is corrected up to (3-5) °, ventral wall of stump model is obtained, lateral walls of plaster model are formed in parallel to femoral bone, and smooth transition of ventral wall to lateral one is performed. The plaster model is directed in physiologically normal position, ischiadic area is formed at angle of (0-5)° to horizontal in sagittal plane and horizontally in frontal plane. The method enables to optimize geometrical parameters of the plaster model, to improve accuracy of manufacturing a hip prosthesis individual sleeve, to minimize specific pressure on stump tissues, to reduce rotational and linear movements of sleeve relative to the stump, to improve fixation of the sleeve on the stump, this positively effects on blood circulation and condition of stump tissues.Способ изготовления гипсовой модели культи бедра относится к области медицины, точнее к протезированию и протезостроению, и может быть использован при изготовлении протезов бедра.
