PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve massage suitable for a user even when each user does not prepare reference information.SOLUTION: A massage machine includes: a machine body unit 5 for causing a treatment element 6 brought into contact with users part to be treated to perform massage operation a control device 18 for controlling the operation of the machine body unit 5 and a brain wave obtaining device 9 for obtaining users brain wave. The control device 18 estimates the skin elastic characteristic of the part to be treated based on information when the treatment element 6 comes into contact with the part to be treated. Reference information about the relationship between the skin elastic characteristic of the part to be treated and the contact force for bringing the treatment element into contact with the part to be treated is stored, and the contact force is obtained based on the estimated skin elastic characteristic and the reference information.
