PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical system including a self-propelled capsule endoscope driven forward by the oscillation of a fin portion in the body, and a capsule control device for controlling the self propulsion of the capsule endoscope in the body, wherein the medical system facilitates precise control of the movement direction of the capsule endoscope.SOLUTION: The medical system 1 includes: the capsule endoscope 2 mounted with a magnet 21 having a magnetization direction in the axial direction, provided with the fin portion 2b at the axially rear end of an endoscope body portion 2a, and self-propelled in the body and the capsule control device 3 for generating a magnetostatic field whose direction is controlled three-dimensionally and an alternating magnetic field orthogonal to the magnetostatic field, and controlling the self-propulsion of the capsule endoscope 2 outside the body.
