FIELD: agriculture.SUBSTANCE: seeder consists of row units comprising a seed metering system at regular intervals and a seeding system. The metering system comprises a seed meter which can be made in the form of a flat disc with holes for the seeds. The drilling system comprises the endless element with the gripping part at the inner surface of the housing, located in the housing. The housing has an upper opening where the seeds are captured from the dispenser and moved along the inner surface of the housing, and the lower opening for throwing seeds. As a variant, the endless element is made in the form of a brush belt for gripping, movement and acceleration of the seeds. The method consists in the fact that the seeds are extracted from the seed metering device by gripping them with the bristles of the belt in the housing. After extracting the seeds the latter are clamped between the bristles of the belt and the housing and moved by the brush belt downwards to the lower end of the housing. The brush belt accelerates the seeds horizontally backwards up to speed approximately equal to the travel speed of the drill displacement. Then the seeds are thrown through the lower opening in the housing.
