<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation method for reducing labor for fertilizing work while increasing a fertilizer effect of fertilizer effect adjusting-type fertilizer compared to a conventional method, and increasing a yield of perennial crops, in cultivation of perennial crops represented by tea plant. <；P>；SOLUTION: The cultivation method for applying fertilizer effect adjusting-type granular fertilizer to tea plants includes applying the fertilizer effect adjusting-type fertilizer having the following characteristics (1)-(3) from above the tea plant once a year over a plurality of years, so as to distribute 80% or less of the application amount of the fertilizer effect adjusting-type fertilizer in an area under tree crown. (1) The fertilizer includes at least one kind selected from a coating granular fertilizer composition and/or a chemically-synthesized slow-acting nitrogen fertilizer. (2) A leaching rate or mineralizing rate of nitrogen component of the third day under fixed conditions in water or soil at 25°；C is not more than 10%.
