PURPOSE: A walking guide robot is provided to enable the blind person to recognize information including the obstacle, road surface state, stairs, and the incline. CONSTITUTION: A walking guide robot for the blind person comprises: a walking guide unit(110) equipped with a handle part which a user grips in one side, a sensor unit(120) sensing the existing obstacle in ongoing direction, an obstacle-decision unit(130) deciding the type of the obstacle based on the result of the sensor unit, and a walking control unit(140) controlling moving direction based on the result of the obstacle-decision unit.본 발명은 시각 장애인을 위한 보행 가이드 로봇에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 시각 장애인의 GPS 위치 정보를 수신하여 시각 장애인이 설정한 경로로 가이드하며, 동시에 보행 방향에 위치하는 전방 장애물, 하면 장애물, 공중 장애물을 모두 감지하여 시각 장애인에게 안전한 이동 방향의 정보를 제공하는 보행 가이드 로봇에 관한 것이다.
