The present invention relates to a hair color composition comprising a powder hair color and a novel conditioning milk formulation. Said hair color composition inhibits dusting and lump formation due to better wetting of the powder hair color with the conditioning milk formulation as compared to the water and avoids dripping by virtue of uniform mixing and right viscosity. The hair color composition is obtained from natural ingredients like henna, amla, and almond protein which make the hair soft, smooth and shiny and long lasting/wash off resistant.
