A cosmetic composition comprising the extract of natural materials is provided to inhibit quality lowering of cosmetics by inhibiting the growth of microorganisms, improve preservative effects and reduce skin irritation. A preservative cosmetic composition comprises 0.1-10.0 wt.% of Eucommia ulmoides extract, 0.1-10.0 wt.% of Geranium nepalense extract and 0.1-10.0 wt.% of Chelidonium majus extract in a mixing ratio of 2:1:1 to 2:1:2, which are prepared by extracting them with (a) water, (b) C1-4 anhydrous or hydrous lower alcohol, (c) acetone, (d) ethyl acetate, (e) chloroform or (f) 1,3-butylene glycol.본 발명은 천연 방부제로서 두충, 현초 및 백굴채 추출물을 함유하는 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 화장료 조성물은 기존의 유기방부제 대신에 두충, 현초 및 백굴채 추출물을 사용하여 방부력을 유지하고 피부자극이 적은 안전한 화장품으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
