PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray detector and an X-ray CT apparatus capable of suppressing X-ray detector output reduction, eliminating causes of photoelectric transducer degradation and abnormal output, and preventing generation of artifacts.SOLUTION: An X-ray detector for X-ray CT apparatus according to an embodiment includes a scintillator array, collimators, and masks. The scintillator array includes scintillator elements arranged along a circumferential direction around a subjects body axis, and partition walls for partitioning adjacent scintillator elements. The collimators comprise a plurality of collimator plates, each of which being located at a position corresponding to each of the partition walls, with one end of each collimator plate positioned in the proximity of each partition wall and the other end of each collimator plate extending in the height direction thereof from the partition wall toward an X-ray source, and regulate incident direction of X-rays entering the scintillator elements. The masks, which absorb X-rays, are located between the partition walls and one ends of the collimator plates such that at least the partition walls are masked thereby in the direction of incident X-rays.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】X線検出器の出力の低下を抑え、また、光電変換素子を劣化させたり、異常出力を発生させる要因をなくし、さらに、アーチファクトの発生を防止することが可能なX線検出器及びX線CT装置を提供する。【解決手段】実施形態のX線CT装置用のX線検出器は、シンチレータアレイ、コリメータ及びマスクを有する。シンチレータアレイは、体軸回りの方向に沿って配列されたシンチレータ素子、及び隣り合うシンチレータ素子同士を仕切る隔壁を有する。コリメータは、隔壁に対応して設けられたコリメータ複数の板を有し、隔壁に各コリメータ板の一端部が近接され、隔壁からX線源へ向かう高さ方向に各コリメータ板の他端部が延設され、シンチレータ素子に入射されるX線の入射方向を規制する。マスクは、隔壁とコリメータ板の一端部との間にX線の入射方向から少なくとも隔壁を覆うように配置され、X線を吸収する。【選択図】図1
