A cooling structure and a method of cooling a surgical robot arm. The surgical robot arm extends from a proximal end attached to a base to a distal end attachable to a surgical instrument via a series of links interspersed by articulations. The cooling structure comprises a loop for circumscribing the surgical robot arm. The loop comprises a hollow interior for feeding cooling fluid through the loop, and a series of orifices directed towards the surgical robot arm for feeding cooling fluid from the loop towards the surgical robot arm. The cooling structure further comprises a feeder conduit attached to the loop for feeding cooling fluid from a cooling fluid source to the loop.Linvention concerne une structure de refroidissement et un procédé de refroidissement dun bras robotique chirurgical. Le bras robotique chirurgical se prolonge depuis une extrémité proximale fixée à un socle et jusquà une extrémité distale pouvant être fixée à un instrument chirurgical par lintermédiaire dune série de segments de liaison entre lesquels viennent sintercaler des articulations. La structure de refroidissement comprend une boucle qui va venir entourer le bras robotique chirurgical. La boucle comprend un intérieur creux pour lalimentation en fluide de refroidissement de la boucle, et une série dorifices dirigés vers le bras robotique chirurgical pour lalimentation en fluide de refroidissement depuis la boucle et en direction du bras robotique chirurgical. La structure de refroidissement comprend en outre un conduit dalimentation fixé à la boucle pour alimenter la boucle en fluide de refroidissement en provenance dune source de fluide de refroidissement.
