PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid useful for controlling growth of a cell, to provide a nucleic acid having an expression inhibitory activity for HIF (hypoxia-inducible factor)-2α by requiring a method for utilization thereof, and to provide a pharmaceutical composition composed of the nucleic acid.SOLUTION: There is provided the nucleic acid including a part of base sequence of an hif-2α gene, and a base sequence complementary to the base sequence of the nucleic acid, and inhibiting the expression of the HIF-2α.
