PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve trouble that the cut cross section of a head forming vegetable A is disturbed caused by the low speed rotation of a drive cutter 61 when a travelling machine body 2 travels at low speed in a head forming vegetable harvester 1.SOLUTION: The head forming vegetable harvester 1 includes a harvest operation part 13 for pulling the head forming vegetable A in front of the travelling machine body 2 and conveying the same backward, a drive cutter 61 for cutting the rootstock A2 of the head forming vegetable A conveyed in the harvest operation part 13 and a rotary actuator 64 for rotatively driving the drive cutter 61 independently without synchronizing the vehicle speed of the travelling machine body 2.
