The present invention relates to a composition for dyeing keratin fibers, comprising (a) one or more oxidation bases, of which at least one of the oxidation bases are the 2 - (methoxymethyl) benzene - 1,4 - diamine, its addition salts and solvates, and (b) one or more cationic direct dyes, chosen from among the dyes of the type hydrazano and / or azo type. This composition is intended for the dyeing of keratin fibres, and in particular the hair.
