PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic for hair capable of satisfying all of good foam quality, volume feeling of hair after washing and drying, and styling property continuing to the next day after washing. SOLUTION: (a) 0.01% by mass to 5% by mass of a fatty acid ester of polyglycerin having an average degree of polymerization of 3 to 20, and (b) an acyl-β-alanine type surfactant represented by the formula (1). A hair cosmetic containing 1% by mass to 20% by mass of the agent and 0.0005% by mass to 0.5% by mass of (c) proteoglycan.
