PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester having a simplified construction of a driving system for a rachis-branch treatment cylinder 82.SOLUTION: The combine harvester is equipped with a rachis-branch treatment mechanism 61 at the feed end side of a tailing-returning mechanism 60 for returning threshed and separated tailings to a thresher 5 or a shaking separator 27. The tailing-returning mechanism 60 has a returning cylinder 62 extended along the lower sidewall 55a of the thresher 5, and a returning conveyor 63 arranged in the returning cylinder 62 to be rotatable. The rachis-branch treatment mechanism 61 has a rachis-branch treatment case 81 arranged along the upper sidewall 55b of the thresher 5, and the rachis-branch treatment cylinder 82 arranged in the rachis-branch treatment case 81 to be rotatable. A returning conveyor shaft 63a and a treating cylinder-rotating shaft 82a are extended in parallel.
