In a first aspect, the invention relates to a white oil, suitable for use as a plasticizer in polymers, wherein the white oil is a refined petroleum derivative, the white oil containing napthenic, aromatic and paraffinic hydrocarbons, the content of napthenic hydrocarbons being CN% higher is then 30% measured according to ASTM D2140. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a composition of polystyrene or styrene copolymer with the white oil from the first aspect. In a following aspect the invention relates to a composition of EPDM rubber with the white oil from the first aspect. In a fourth aspect the invention relates to the use of the white oil according to the first aspect in soft gelatin capsules.In een eerste aspect betreft de uitvinding een witte olie, geschikt voor het gebruik als weekmaker in polymeren, waarbij de witte olie een geraffineerd aardolie derivaat is, waarbij de witte olie napthenische, aromatische en paraffinische koolwaterstoffen bevat, waarbij het gehalte napthenische koolwaterstoffen CN% hoger is dan 30% gemeten volgens ASTM D2140. In een tweede aspect betreft de uitvinding een compositie van polystyreen of styreen copolymeer met de witte olie uit het eerste aspect. In een volgend aspect betreft de uitvinding een compositie van EPDM rubber met de witte olie uit het eerste aspect. In een vierde aspect betreft de uitvinding het gebruik van de witte olie volgens het eerste aspect in zachte gelatine capsules.
