PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for inserting a puncture needle, in which safety and operability are improved in performing a preparation step of insertion manipulation and other operations by nullifying an auxiliary device for inserting a puncture needle, separating an inner cylinder insertion force applied against a cutting force acting to the inner cylinder portion from an outer cylinder insertion force applied against a frictional force acting to the outer cylinder portion.SOLUTION: The device 3 for inserting a puncture needle includes: the inner cylinder portion 1 having a puncture needle on the tip and the outer cylinder portion 2 covering at least a part of the side surface of the inner cylinder portion and movable differently from the inner cylinder portion. The device 3 includes an auxiliary device 6 for inserting a puncture needle, to separate an inner cylinder insertion force applied against the cutting force acting to the inner cylinder portion from an outer cylinder insertion force applied against the frictional force acting to the outer cylinder portion when the insertion device 3 is inserted in a living body.
