PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying abnormalities in images generated by an imaging device.SOLUTION: The method includes steps 10 and 12 of receiving a first quantity of candidate abnormalities and a second quantity of candidate abnormalities. These candidate abnormalities are identified in successive images generated by an imaging device. Constellation matching is performed between the first quantity of candidate abnormalities and the second quantity of candidate abnormalities, a correlation between them is identified and it is expressed with a constellation matching value 14, 16, 18 and 19. A plurality of constellation matching values are determined in various relative shifts in x-y direction between the first quantity of candidate abnormalities and the second quantity of candidate abnormalities.
