Disclosed is a CPAP breathing mask system with a headgear and cushion module and a seal and frame module that provide a better air-tight seal between the mask and the user’s face. The mask comprises a cushion region including a continuously positive pressurised breathing chamber, and a seal-forming structure adapted to form a seal with a region of the patient’s face that surrounds at least the patient’s nares to facilitate the delivery of the flow of breathable gas to the patient at the therapy pressure via at least the patient’s nares. The cushion region comprises a textile which in use forms at least a portion of the breathing chamber and the seal with the region of the patient’s face, and at least one fabric or textile headgear strap is structured and arranged to extend along a side of the patient’s head in use to support the cushion region on the patient’s face, and contains a sealed air delivery passageway or tube within the textile and which is arranged to in use communicate with a lateral portion of the cushion region to deliver the flow of breathable gas to the cushion region, and is positioned within the portion of the at least one headgear strap which extends along the side of the patient’s head in use.
