This absorptive article (1) comprises an excretion orifice contact region (S1) which faces towards the excretion orifice of the wearer a rear region (S2) positioned to the rear of the excretion orifice contact region (S1) and an absorbent core (31) which is arranged in the excretion orifice contact region (S1) and the rear region (S2). The absorbent core (31) of the rear region (S2) is provided with a lengthwise slit (42) which is arranged in the center of the absorbent core (31) in the width direction (W) and which extends in the length direction (L) of the absorptive article (1) and with auxiliary slits (43) which are continuous with the lengthwise slit (42) and extend outwards in the width direction (W) from the lengthwise slit (42). In the width direction (W) the outside edges (43E) of the auxiliary slits (43) are positioned inwards of the outside edges (31E) of the absorbent core (31) in the rear region (S2).
