PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pet food structurally designed to have a dental care function.SOLUTION: The pet food includes a core part 12 having a tubular or columnar state, and a coating part 14 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the core part 12. The core part 12 is such that a large number of continuous linear elements 10a made of a thermoplastic food material and each having a diameter of 0.1-3 mm are irregularly crooked respectively in a longitudinal direction and a horizontal direction to extend while intersecting with one another. The large number of the continuous linear elements 10a are composed of three-dimensional net-like structures which are fusion-bonded at points where they come in contact with each other. The coating part 14 is composed of the large number of the continuous linear elements 10a made of the thermoplastic food material and each having a diameter of 0.1-3 mm.
