PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having a controlling effect excellent for pests.SOLUTION: Since a hydrazide compound represented by formula (1) has an excellent controlling affect for pests, the hydrazide compound is useful as an effective component for a pest controlling agent. The pest controlling agent contains a hydrazide compound as an effective component. There is also provided a method for controlling pests including applying an effective amount of the hydrazide compound on pests or habitats thereof.【課題】有害生物に対して優れた防除効力を有する化合物を提供すること。【解決手段】式（１）〔式中、Ｒ1、Ｒ2、Ｒ3、Ｒ4、Ａ1、Ａ2、Ｊ、Ｑおよびｎなどは、各々、明細書中に定義された通りである。〕で示されるヒドラジド化合物は、有害生物に対して優れた防除効力を有することから、有害生物防除剤の有効成分として有用であり、本願はヒドラジド化合物、ヒドラジド化合物を有効成分として含有することを特徴とする有害生物防除剤、およびヒドラジド化合物の有効量を有害生物または有害生物の生息場所に施用することを特徴とする有害生物の防除方法を提供する。【選択図】なし
