PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly search for a TRPA1 activation component and to provide an application thereof.SOLUTION: The TRPA1 activation composition of the invention is an acrylic acid and/or unsaturated aldehyde having a carbon number of a principal chain of 4-12 which has a double bond at least in position 2 and 4, where the unsaturated aldehyde as an active ingredient whose carbon number of the principal chain is 4-9 when the site of the double bond is only position 2, and whose carbon number of the principal chain is 9-12 when the double bond is in only position 4. The invention also provides a functional food and pharmaceutical which contain the composition.【課題】ＴＲＰＡ１活性化成分を新規に探索することと、その用途を提供する。【解決手段】本発明のＴＲＰＡ１活性化組成物は、アクリル酸及び／又は少なくとも２位又は４位に二重結合を有する主鎖の炭素数４～１２の不飽和アルデヒドであって、ただし、二重結合の位置が２位のみの場合は主鎖の炭素数が４～９であり、そして二重結合の位置が４位のみの場合は主鎖の炭素数が９～１２である前記不飽和アルデヒドを有効成分として含む。本発明は、また、この組成物を含有する機能性食品及び医薬品を提供する。【選択図】図１
