In a preliminary step, a water source (120), an acid source (130), an electrolyte reservoir (140) containing a mixture of electrolytes in exactly the amount necessary for the manufacture of the liquid acid concentrate, and a source of solid sodium chloride (150) is connected to a dissolving tank (110). During step a), the amount of water required to produce the liquid acid concentrate feed is introduced into the dissolving tank (110). In step b), the amount of acid necessary for the manufacture of the liquid acid concentrate is introduced into the dissolving tank (110), the solution is stirred until the solution is homogenized. Step c) consists of repeating substeps c1) and c2) until complete dissolution of the electrolyte mixture contained in the electrolyte reservoir. In substep c1), a portion of the solution contained in the dissolving tank (110) is transferred to the electrolyte reservoir (140) containing the electrolyte mixture, and then to the substep c2), the solution contained in the electrolyte tank (140) is transferred to the dissolving tank leaving the still solid constituents in the electrolyte tank.
