PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for holding a body of a care-receiver without developing a feeling of discomfort and without causing any trouble, cost increase and size-enlargement in the holder and an assistance robot.SOLUTION: A holding part 23 (a holder) as a holder for holding a body of a care-receiver, includes: a base frame 31； left/right frames 32 and 33 attached to left/right parts of the base frame 31 so as to move relative to the left/right directions and catching and holding the body of the care-receiver from the left/right respectively； and a holding position adjusting mechanism 34 for adjusting holding positions of the left/right frames 32 and 33 in such a manner that, when the body weight of the care-receiver is applied downward to the left/right frames 32 and 33, the left/right frames 32 and 33 pushed downward by the load of the care-receiver are moved respectively to a center of the base frame 31 and come into contact with the body of the care-receiver to be positioned.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5【課題】保持具および介助ロボットにおいて、手間、高コスト化・大型化を招くことなく、かつ、違和感を感じることなく被介助者の体を保持する保持具を提供する。【解決手段】保持部２３（保持具）は、被介助者の体を保持する保持具であって、ベースフレーム３１と、ベースフレーム３１の左右部に左右方向に相対移動可能に取り付けられて、被介助者の体をそれぞれ左右から挟んで保持する左右フレーム３２，３３と、左右フレーム３２，３３に被介助者の体重が下方に向けてかかると、被介助者の荷重によって下方に押圧された左右フレーム３２，３３がベースフレーム３１の中央部に向けてそれぞれ移動され、被介助者の体に接触して位置決めされることにより左右フレーム３２，３３の保持位置が調整される保持位置調整機構３４と、を備えている。【選択図】図５
