PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam generator capable of controlling easily a steam generation amount and a temperature.SOLUTION: A steam generator 100 includes a heating layer 11 for generating heat by an oxidation reaction of an oxidizable metal, an air-impermeable and moisture-impermeable second sheet 22, and a water retention layer 12 having a water-absorptive sheet.
