PREVENTIVE/THERAPEUTIC AGENT OF ORAL INFECTION, AND PHARMACEUTICALS, FUNCTIONAL FOOD OR FOOD AND DRINK ADDITIVES CONTAINING PREVENTIVE/THERAPEUTIC AGENT
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel infectious gastroenteritis preventive/therapeutic agent based on an antimicrobial peptide production inducing action.SOLUTION: An oral infection preventive/therapeutic agent contains a bacterial cell of Lactobacillus plantarum KM-D2905 strain (deposition number NITE P-681). Particularly, a killed bacteria of lactic acid bacteria D2905 strain is suitable due to an excellent production inducing action of human &bgr；-defensin 2 which is a defensin-type antimicrobial peptide. Prevention and treatment of infectious gastroenteritis can be performed by ingesting the bacterial cell of the lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus plantarum KM-D2905 strain concerned. Since the preventive/therapeutic agent of the invention can be prepared in various formulations such as a tablet, the agent can be ingested readily, and can contribute to reduction of onset of oral infection, such as infectious gastroenteritis.【課題】抗菌ペプチド産生誘導作用に基づく、新規な感染性胃腸炎予防治療剤を提供する。【解決手段】ラクトバチルス・プランタラム（Lactobacillus plantarum）KM-D2905株（寄託番号NITE P-681）の菌体を含有する経口感染症の予防治療剤。特に乳酸菌D2905株の死菌体は、ディフェンシン系抗菌ペプチドであるヒトβ－ディフェンシン２の産生誘導作用に優れるため好適である。当該乳酸菌ラクトバチルス・プランタラムKM-D2905株の菌体による摂取により、感染性胃腸炎の予防・治療を行うことができる。本発明の予防治療剤は錠剤などの様々な剤型にすることができるため、気軽に摂取することができ、感染性胃腸炎等の経口感染症の発症の低減に寄与できる。【選択図】図１
