The present invention provides a unilateral chew monitoring apparatus and a method thereof. The unilateral chewing monitoring apparatus includes a first module for detecting a left side pressure value generated in a chew state during a period of time； a second module for detecting a right side pressure value generated in the chew state during the period of time； and a processor that receives the left side pressure value of the first module and the right pressure value of the second module. The processor obtains a real pressure difference value based on the comparison of the left and right pressure values. According to the real pressure difference value and the pressure difference threshold value to determine whether it is unilateral chewing in the period of time.
