PURPOSE: An antimicrobial composition and animal feed using thereof are provided to inhibit pathogenic bacteria causing respiratory diseases of domestic animals. CONSTITUTION: An antimicrobial composition for inhibiting pathogenic bacteria causing animal diseases contains Chamaecyparis obtusa essential oil as an active ingredient. The pathogenic bacteria are bacteria causing respiratory diseases. The pathogenic bacteria causing respiratory diseases are selected from more than one from Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida. The Chamaecyparis obtusa essential oil is obtained by supercritical-extracting. The occurrence of animal diseases is prevented by spraying or evaporating the antimicrobial composition inside a domestic animal shed. Animal feed using the antimicrobial composition contains 0.1-5wt% of Chamaecyparis obtuse leaf powder soaked in the antimicrobial composition.본 발명은 편백 정유를 유효성분으로 하는 가축 병원성 세균 억제용 항균 조성물, 특히 가축의 호흡기 질환을 유발하는 세균은 액티노바실러스 플로르뉴모니아(Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae) 또는 파스투렐라 물토시다(Pasteurella multocida)를 억제하는 항균 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상기 항균 조성물은 가축의 병원성 세균 유래 질병 예방 및 가축 사료로 활용될 수 있다.
