PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which achieves an excellence in straightness, deflectability, torque transmissivity, strength and rigidity along with an excellent resistance to kinking by improving the resistance to kinking of the guide wire made of a stainless steel and its production method.SOLUTION: A wire material made of austenite-based stainless steel is worked to stretch, thereby making a wire material with a prescribed diameter and strength. Then, after the correction for making it straight, the wire material is cut up to a prescribed length to form a bar material. Then, the bar material undergoes an age-treatment under the conditions of treatment 0.5 hour to 4 hours at 300-500°C to finally produce a guide wire.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】ステンレス鋼を材料とするガイドワイヤの耐キンク性を改善し、真直性、可撓性、トルク伝達性、強度並びに剛性に優れ、且つ、耐キンク性に優れたガイドワイヤ及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】オーステナイト系ステンレス鋼の線材に、伸線加工を施して、所定の線径、強度を有する線材とし、次いで、真直矯正を施した後、所定の長さに切断してバー材とし、次に、温度300~500℃、時間0.5~4時間の処理条件で時効処理を施してガイドワイヤを製造する。【選択図】 図2
