PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which is readily produceable and exhibits a cosmetic or medical effect stronger than conventional ones, and particularly to provide cosmetics.SOLUTION: The invention provides cosmetics consisting of water, acidic polysaccharide, and acid only. The acidic polysaccharide is carrageenan, and the acid is at least one kind of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and nitric acid, or the water and the acid are both acidic electrolytic water. The compounding amount of the acidic polysaccharide is 0.001-5% by weight to the total amount of the composition.
