A method for treating acute ischemic stroke in a human comprises administering tenecteplase to the human in a total dose of about 0.05 to 0.5 mg/kg, given as (a) an initial bolus dose of about 0.015 to 0.15 mg/kg, followed by infusion of an amount equaling the total dose minus the initial dose over a period of about 50-90 minutes, or (b) a bolus. Also described are kits for carrying out this method.La présente invention concerne une méthode permettant de traiter un accident ischémique cérébral aigu chez un être humain, qui consiste à administrer audit être humain une dose totale de ténectéplase sélevant à environ 0,05 à 0,5 mg/kg, ladite dose se décomposant en (a) un bolus initial denviron 0,015 à 0,15 mg/kg, suivi de linjection par perfusion dune quantité égale à la dose totale moins la dose initiale sur une période de 50 à 90 minutes environ, ou (b) un bolus.
