A removable filter having a collapsed state and an expanded state forcapturing thrombi in a blood vessel is disclosed. The filter comprises aplurality of primary struts and a plurality of secondary struts. Each primarystrut in the expanded state extends from a primary strut first end to ananchoring hook. Each primary strut extends arcuately along a longitudinalaxis and linearly radially. The plurality of primary strut first ends areattachedtogether along the longitudinal axis. Each secondary strut in the expandedstate extends from a secondary strut first end to a free end. Each secondarystrut extends arcuately along the longitudinal axis and linearly radially. Theplurality of secondary struts are attached together along the longitudinalaxis.The plurality of secondary struts centralize the filter in the expanded stateinthe blood vessel.
